Hair Feathers

While I'm on my soap box, I would like to touch on one more issue that has become quite a prevalent fad this summer--hair feathers.

As I was watching the weekly episode of Pretty Little Liars (so intense!), I realized that the character Aria had about 3 feathers in her hair. Since she is supposed to be the edgy character, I didn't think too much of it.

Yes, I have seen them popping up--or rather, into--people's hair since the summer began. And at first, I was okay with them. Everyone has their earthy, I-wish-I-was-a-hippie moments and I figured the feathers were just part of that "rebel" attitude. They also fit well into the green movement category.

But then I started to wonder how long these feathers were going to stay around. And I also began to wonder a few more things...

1. Where do these feathers come from?
2. Does it make you feel one with the earth or something like that?
3. Are we birds?

Unless you are about to take wing and fly north for the summer, please leave the feathers to the birds.
